Beautiful wood moldings, available from our stock of over 1,000 profiles in a variety of woods, can transform an attractive house into a home that looks truly exceptional. A conventional tract home, for instance, can gain distinction with well chosen crown molding, door trim, and baseboards; our in-stock and custom hardwood and poplar moldings can also help restore a vintage home or other building to its original beauty. Whether you are restoring a historic property, duplicating existing moldings or looking to create something original, we mill custom moldings from an actual sample, a sketch, or full-scale design. Using the latest CAD and precision CNC technology, we can mill standard to intricate straight-run moldings or create special curved and arched wood moldings. Creating reproduction profiles that exactly match existing architectural millwork is a Morse Hardwoods specialty. Just fax or e-mail us a pattern, specify the wood species and how many feet you need, and we will develop a cost estimate.
You can create a distinctive look with our high quality in-stock hardwood moldings, crafted of cherry, oak and maple; or opt for custom milled hardwood moldings in a wide variety of other wood species. (Our free Hardwood Guide has information on other varieties of wood available.) We also stock a large inventory of poplar or primed poplar moldings, and create custom wood designs using poplar as well. Both our solid hardwood and poplar moldings are available in lengths ranging from 6 feet to 16 feet.
If you plan to paint or prime your wood moldings, primed poplar finger-joint moldings are an excellent, cost-effective choice. Specially kiln-dried, these moldings hold a smooth, finished look throughout their life. Choose from an array of stock styles or custom wood designs. Primed finger-joint moldings come in 16-foot lengths.
