Sales and retail
Whether our salespeople are working with you in person
or on the phone, we are customer oriented. We can
help you work out the details of your project, select
appropriate woods and designs, or just answer your
questions. You can also peruse our wide range of in-stock
lumber at our inside warehouse or place an order for
custom millwork.
Lumber handling and kiln drying
At the mill, our technicians handle green lumber directly
from the sawmill, stack it, seal it and prepare it
for kiln drying. Our kilns run 24/7 and we monitor
this process throughout as the kilns are brought up
to the correct temperature to dry specific species
of wood for appropriate lengths of time to remove
moisture.
Rough mill production
Taking rough lumber from the kilns, these technicians
do the primary breakdown of the wood into initial
widths, thicknesses and lengths. They determine how
to get the best yield out of each board so little
is wasted, which makes sense for the environment.
They also select wood for color and decide on the
best use for each board.
Molding production
The skilled craftsmen on the molding team are especially
quality conscious as they carefully cut and shape
each board into high-quality, beautiful millwork.
They can recreate existing millwork
or create original shapes from drawings or full-size
plans.
Stair production
Building a stairway
is like building fine furniture. Our stair artisans
have the ability to envision a stairway
before they begin and then carefully plan construction.
These expert craftsmen take raw lumber, fabricate
whatever special parts are needed and pre-assemble
the stairs at our mill, ready for delivery and installation.
